STEAMville is a connected learning community that supports youth, families, and communities in developing STEAM interests and practices, identities, and community impacts. STEAMville helps you connect your child to free, online opportunities that develop and grow STEAM interests and passions. Knowing how to participate in online, project-based learning is a critical literacy that prepares youth to be life-long learners and to succeed in college and career.

As youth develop habits and learn through STEAMville projects and programs, they can earn digital badges that demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have gained and document what they have accomplished. Youth can the share their digital badges with friends, teachers, colleges, and potential employers. Youth can also share and showcase their work with friends, parents, and other caring adults to highlight their accomplishments and strengthen their STEAM identity.

Set Up Your Child’s Account

Your child’s STEAMville account is an online portfolio, or what we like to call a “digital backpack”, and contains a history of their STEAMville participation and accomplishments that they earn over time.

Explore Free and Affordable Playlists of Activities

Northwestern’s Office of Education Partnerships is curating online STEAM resources and activities from organizations across the country and world into a large collection of “playlists” designed to engage youth and families. Playlists focus on developing STEAM literacies, creating artifacts, and building identity and helping youth think about positively impacting their communities through their own learning and the knowledge and expertise they gain.
